Why are hollow roof supports not advised?
The UK Department of Health issued the alert EFA/2013/004 on November 19th 2013, which stated that hollow tank supports are no longer permitted in cold water storage tank installations.

This regulation is supported by the new AcoP L8 legislation provided by the Health and Safety Executive, which highlights the risks associated with stagnant water in these supports, particularly the potential for Legionella bacteria growth.
