Tank Foundation Materials

It is our experience that site conditions are not always suitable for the positioning of water storage tanks.

The bases of all types of tank require a structural foundation which adheres to our standard installation requirements document which is available here as a down load.

Concrete pads and brick or concrete raised supports are rarely within the required tolerences, even when newly cast or built.

Purewater can provide a cost effective solution to this problem by providing steel supports which can be overlaid with ply boarding. Once correctly positioned and shimmed flat and level to the required tolerances the tank can then be positioned and/or assembled.

It is often more cost effective to include the provision of a foundation in the original project budget than to run the risk of an aborted site installation visit which can incur an unexpected additional cost for re-scheduling installation engineers.

Foundation steels are available:

To correct unlevel flat concrete slabs

To correct unlevel and irregular raised concrete and brick supports

To facilitate the positioning of metric configuration tanks onto existing raised supports which have an imperial layout. Older type tanks are usually positioned on supports which are set at 1220mm centres, proving unsuitable for metric tanks which require supports at 1000mm or 500mm centres.

Foundation materials can be utilised for all types of sectional tanks and also one and two piece tank.

Please telephone stating the tank dimensions and the nature of the existing foundation, we will then provide an accurate cost.
