PRESS RELEASE - The Birmingham Post, 27th December 2002

MUSTARD ON TAP TO SUPPORT NEW BUSINESS

An entrepreneurial West Midlands company received a prestigious order for its products from the House of Commons – just months after its launch.

Pure Water Storage Ltd, which manufactures tanks for heating systems and the storage of drinking water, was asked to provide a system for the historic building by Grimsby-based mechanical and electrical installers, Eurolec.

Launched in April, Pure Water Storage already employs seven people and, with a healthy order book for the future, is on course for continued expansion.

Their systems – made at their factory in Middleton, Tamworth – involve high-technology manufacturing and design techniques and have been specially created to help prevent the outbreak of the deadly Legionnaires Disease.

The founder of the business Stephen Hall, 41, who lives in the Glascote area of Tamworth, said: “The contract at the House of Commons was quite a coup for us.

“The business is going well and we are receiving regular contracts from national construction companies, as well as heating contractors.”

Pure Water Storage has been supported by Mustard.uk.com, the premier high-growth business start-up initiative in the West Midlands.

Through the initiative, Pure Water Storage received support in areas including business planning, cash flow forecasting, web design and human resource issues.

Mr Hall added: “Mustard.uk.com has provided us with essential support in the crucial start-up phase of the business. The service is very professional and has delivered all that it set out to do.”

Mustard.uk.com client manager Vic Wileman, based at Business Enterprise Support in Burton, delivered the programme along with business advisors PKF Staffordshire.

He said: “From the start, Pure Water Storage knew exactly where it wanted to go and was determined to get there.

“In the short time it has been in business it has already achieved considerable success and it has been a pleasure to be associated with Stephen in the company’s formative period.”
